About Valiant Living’s Clinical Assessment Program

The assessment track is a 5-7 day residential program designed to uncover and understand any underlying mental health conditions. During your stay at our assessment center, patients undergo a psychological battery of assessments with a team of licensed psychologists.

The battery of individual assessments we offer include:

  • MMPI (Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory): A comprehensive psychological test that assesses personality traits and psychopathology, widely used to diagnose mental disorders and screen for psychological stability.
  • GAD-7 (Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7-item scale): A questionnaire designed to identify probable cases of generalized anxiety disorder and assess the severity of symptoms.
  • PHQ-9 (Patient Health Questionnaire-9): An instrument for diagnosing and monitoring the severity of depression based on the nine DSM-IV criteria.
  • PCL-5 (Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Checklist for DSM-5):
    A 20-item measure used to assess the presence and severity of PTSD symptoms in alignment with DSM-5 criteria.
  • PTSIR (Posttraumatic Stress Index Revised): An assessment that evaluates the severity of posttraumatic stress reactions following a traumatic event.
  • SDI (Sexual Dependency Inventory): An assessment tool used to evaluate problematic sexual behaviors and dependencies.
  • MAWASI (Money and Work Adaptive Styles Index): An assessment designed to evaluate an individual’s attitudes, behaviors, and adaptive styles related to financial and work issues
  • PEth/ Mass Spectrometry Substance Testing: Comprehensive substance use testing.
  • Predictive Index Assessment: A tool used to measure behavioral drives and overall learning ability in the workplace.

At the end of these assessments, we are able to provide a more detailed, strategic set of recommendations for long term care options.
